Who Were Looking For -Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, we are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to participate in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team and the month-end close, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, analysis of accounting activity, and managing the financial aspects of the retail business.

Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations related to cash, revenue, accounts receivable, and various other general ledger accountsOn-board new retail customers, post retail invoices and reconcile retail paymentsMaintain and monitor invoice automation workflow with external & internal retail teamsParticipate in annual audits and special projectsOccasionally work with external consultants to provide required information and ensure proper record keeping for historical purposesDirectly support the Accounting GL team with the preparation of analysis related to month-end and year-end journal entries and analysis of operating resultsParticipate in Accounting team initiatives to implement systems, increase automation and enhance efficienciesMaintain processes, procedures and internal controlsOther duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration2-3 years of experience working in general accountingSolid knowledge of accounting principles under US GAAP, including accrual accounting conceptsMust have NetSuite Experience and strong Microsoft Excel skillsAnalytical, data-driven mindset and can apply strategic thinking to problem solving and drive company goals and outcomesComfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment and building out systems, tools, and processes from the ground up
