The Senior Accountant's primary responsibilities will be managing Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Accounting. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the company's success by providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform balance sheet reconciliationsApprove InvoicingApprove Cash ReceiptsResponsible for Project Setup and BillingApprove New Customer TermsPerform Corporate Reporting, Budgeting and ForecastingLead Monthly Financial ClosePrepare Internal Reporting PackagePerform Cost AccountingPerform DCAA reporting requirements including the Incurred Cost SubmissionMaintain the Travel and Expense Platform (currently Concur)Accountable for meeting reporting deadlinesSupervise Accounts Receivable
Development Responsibilities:
Improve financial reporting through automationManage and develop the skills of the Accounts Receivables Specialist Develop strong working relationships with other departments to ensure good communication within the company
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA and/or MBA preferred 5 + years of experience in Public or Private Sector AccountingExperience with a Government Contractor Highly Preferred (WAWF)
Skills:
Knowledge and skill in using computer software, including Excel, MS Word PowerPoint and AdobeDeltek Costpoint Experience Highly PreferredCognos Experience Highly PreferredStrong decision-making skills and ability to work independentlyInterpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
