We currently have an exciting Fluid Power Outside Sales opportunity available based in the Baton Rouge area. In this role you will develop new business while being assisted by our highly knowledgeable customer service team and supportive managers.
Essential Functions Work with your District Sales Manager to create a sales plan to develop a prospect list to capture new businessFull cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads, cold calls, and sales presentationsRegularly meet with Sales Supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customersCollaborate with knowledgeable customer service and technical support teams who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goalsUnderstanding of the market in the territory to generate and prospect for new businessUtilization of tools and resources to plan and manage time and territoryCadence and accountability - weekly review with the sales managerExpanding while maintaining existing businessExperience, Education, Skills Bachelor's degree in related discipline OR a 2-year technical degree, preferably in Fluid Power; OR any suitable combination of education, training, and work experience1-3 years industrial or technical outside sales experienceApplication and troubleshooting experience with fluid power products and systems is preferredClear and concise verbal and written communication skillsValid driver's licenseOccasional overnight travel may be required We Offer Industry competitive compensation planMedical / Dental / Vision / 401K with matchPaid vacation and holidays Tuition reimbursement and ongoing development opportunitiesVehicle AllowanceAs a national distributor with a local presence, SunSource is a well-known full-service value-add distributor representing quality manufacturers.Would you rather see what we have to offer?
