We are excited to announce the opening for a Junior Accountant, who will join our Business Operations Team in Huntsville and contribute to our growing technology company operating in the missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control sectors.

Responsibilities:
Assist in daily accounting operations, including data entry, journal entry processing, and record maintenanceSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesAssist with processing travel expense reportsAssist in the preparation of basic financial statements and reportsSupport budget tracking and financial forecasting activitiesMaintain accurate financial records and documentationEnsure compliance with company policies and assist with audit preparation
Basic Qualifications:
You must have an Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.You will need 2-4 years of professional accounting experience (internships and related work experience may be considered)You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Unanet ERP system is desiredBasic understanding of accounting principles and practicesKnowledge of government contracting and DCAA compliance is desired, but not requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applicationsAbility to learn quickly, adapt to new challenges, and work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong communication skills, both written and verbal
