The Finance and Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping, budgeting, audits, and reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role also includes data analysis, administrative support, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain and organize financial records by logging transactions, updating ledgers, and ensuring accuracy.Review financial statements, spot trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.Assist with audits by gathering documents, checking records for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.Help with budgeting and forecasting by collecting data, entering figures into financial models, and analyzing budget differences.Prepare financial reports and presentations by creating charts, summarizing data, and ensuring clarity.Handle administrative tasks like filing, copying documents, and scheduling meetings.Take part in training sessions and seek mentorship to support learning and professional growth.Position Details:Employment Type: Internship, hourlySchedule: Full-time during the summer (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week); flexible hours during the school year based on class schedule.Perks & Benefits:Paid internship!401(k) retirement planHoliday payAccess to an on-site fitness centerProfessional training and development opportunities
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.Previous internship or coursework in finance or accounting is a plus but not required.Experience with Microsoft Excel and financial software is beneficial.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Effective communication and organizational skills.Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
