NeoGenomics is looking for an Associate Accounting Manager wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a hybrid in office and remote to work out of our Carlsbad, CA office with a Monday - Friday day shift.

Position Summary:

As an Associate Accounting Manager at NeoGenomics, you will be integral in supporting growth in the Company, ensuring accurate accounting and analysis. Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and maintain monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with investigating variance analysisSupervise, train, and develop Accounting staffAssist the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller on special projects as neededProvide analysis of business operations to needed accruals during monthly closeAssist the Accounting Manager with performing data analytics to identify business insights as well as identify areas of potential accounting misstatements Assist with supervising fixed asset transactionsIdentify areas of efficiencies to improve current process and procedures and determine scalable solutions
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required4+ years accounting or relevant experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships with others within and outside the accounting teamMust have strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building models and prior data mining experienceIntermediate to strong competencies with Microsoft ExcelCPA preferredBig 4 public accounting experience preferredERP experience (Great Plains or Oracle preferred) required
