Summary/Objective:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for performing Accounts Receivable functions accurately and timely. The position consists of preparation, recording, collection of construction related customer invoices, and related payment processing. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:Reports to the Senior Accountant.Timely recording and reconciling of daily cash deposits and resolving any discrepancies.Work with other operational departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected.Perform customer account reconciliations as needed.Assist external auditors with annual Financial Statement audit.Process customer credit card payments and other miscellaneous receipts. Work with Operational counterparts to perform administrative and clerical tasks, to include data entry (customer requisitions), preparing invoices, requesting customer required lien waivers, filing paperwork, and other duties as assigned.Cross train with Senior Accountant on essential department tasks to ensure proper coverage. Assist in monthly closings. Prepare analysis of accounts, as required. Perform filing and coping. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, construction industry preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn other software and technology. High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and collaborative. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to consistently meet Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and criminal and credit background check. Must adhere to all company policy
