SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Accounting Subject Matter Expert.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking an experienced Accounting Subject MatterExpert (SME) to provide specialized knowledge, guidance, and expertise inaccounting principles, financial reporting, compliance, and best practices. TheSME will support internal teams, develop training materials, ensure regulatorycompliance, and contribute to process improvements. This role requires deeptechnical accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills to drive accuracy,efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Provide expert guidance on accounting principles,financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP, FAR and other relevantregulations.Support internal teams with complex accounting issues,policy interpretations, and best practices.Develop and review financial models, reports, andreconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.Assist Controller in process improvement initiatives toenhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.Design and deliver training materials and workshops onaccounting standards and practices.Collaborate with auditors, regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.Serve as a key resource for accounting systemimplementations and upgrades.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance,or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting,auditing, or financial reporting.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Expertise in GAAP, FAR, and other accounting standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communicationskills.Experience with ERP systems and financial reportingtools.Ability to work cross-functionally and providestrategic insights.Experience in government contractors accounting,consulting, or corporate finance.Familiarity with CostPoint reporting, tax regulations,and risk management.Strong project management skills and ability to leadinitiatives.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
