About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Account Executive, Event Solutions to join the Leadership Connect (LC) team. In this role, you will not only take a leadership position in planning, organizing, and executing live and virtual events but also play a vital role in business development efforts. Acting as a key liaison between our events team and prospective clients, you will help cultivate relationships, generate leads, and drive sales for LC events and media services. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to drive revenue growth for an events business in its second year, deliver impactful events, foster client relationships, and collaborate with sales teams to increase revenue opportunities.
Core Functions of the Role: Business Development:Generating interest and sales in LC events and media services, building relationships with existing clients and prospective buyers, and owning the growth of LC's events revenue. Act as a product liaison during industry events, effectively communicating all LC offerings and capabilities to prospective clients, identifying potential leads, and cultivating relationships with prospective clients. Develop and coordinate introductory meetings to connect clients with internal stakeholders and services.Provide post-event reports and recommendations to support future business opportunities.Represent the organization at events, networking opportunities, and client meetings to promote our services.Event Coordination:Develop and implement event strategies that prioritize business development, incorporating sales opportunities, highlighting key offerings, and ensuring prospective clients are engaged throughout the event experience.Oversee external event participation, including researching relevant events, coordinating employee attendance, handling preparation logistics, and managing follow-up efforts to maximize business development opportunities.Analyze post-event feedback and sales metrics to measure success, identify growth opportunities, and recommend strategies for converting attendees into clients.Assist with additional event-related tasks as needed to ensure seamless execution and alignment with overall sales and organizational objectives.About You: We are looking for an experienced event sales professional with strong business acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects.2-4 years of combined experience in event planning or coordination, including live and virtual formats, and a sales role, preferably in event and media salesExperienced in sales outreach, lead generation, navigating client value conversations, and a drive to grow a newer business within an existing organization Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture client relationships.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges.Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, ClickUp, and Canva (Preferred)Knowledge of public sector technology, government contracting, procurement and policy news is preferred based on our client verticals. This role is eligible for commission.
