Position Summary:
The Director, Strategic Accounts, Pharma Services, leads development efforts that best address customer needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary teams. The Director, Strategic Accounts, Pharma Services, will be responsible for building out a customer base, working collaboratively and in conjunction with all levels of the sales organization to ensure successful attainment of established goals and objectives.

Core Responsibilities:
Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with major pharmaceutical companies in the designated territory.Build strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders (sourcing/procurement, scientific leaders, lab managers etc.)Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing clientsCollaborate and coordinate with all sales positions (Divisional VPs, Regional Directors and Territory Business Managers) to ensure successful attainment of company goals and objectivesIdentify and develop partnering opportunities between prospective pharmaceutical companies and NeoGenomics including but not limited to: Clinical Trials and Product DevelopmentContinually analyze competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to NeoGenomics leadership teamClosely coordinates company executive involvement with customer managementMonitor performance of sales to ensure objectives are metDevelop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory that will be inclusive of budgets, travel, territory management, goal setting, etc.Work effectively with individuals across multiple departments throughout NeoGenomics. May have direct report staff assigned to support responsibilities for specific customersCreate statements of work for customer projects based upon customer requirements with the support of the pharma services teamProvides leadership and input to Directors, Strategic Accounts, Pharma Services, as requested in addition to day-to-day to supportAll other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Pharma Services
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in a Life Science, Biology, or business-related field required. Masters preferred.5+ years of direct account management experience in a laboratory setting working with pharmaceutical companies with a history of proven performance that has met and exceeded expectationsStrong understanding of pharmaceutical services and the evolving competitive landscapeAbility to maintain an outstanding level of market, customer, distribution and product knowledge necessary to accomplish sales and marketing objectivesExcellent knowledge of molecular pathology, oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics and targeted agentsExcellent negotiation and customer service skillsOutstanding strategic sales account planning skillsSuperior listening and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle sensitive information and maintain a very high level of confidentialityDemonstrate consistent closing abilities throughout the sales cyclePossess a very positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics involved with organizational growth and changeImpeccable oral and verbal communication and presentation skillsMust be very proficient with all Microsoft Office products - particularly Excel and PowerPointEffective and regular utilization of Salesforce.comAbility to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectivesAdvanced presentation skills and business acumen a necessityAbility to work effectively with minimal direction from, or interface with, managerProblem solving, decision making and technical learningAdvanced written and oral communication skillsStrong administrative skills and sophistication to manage business in complex environmentsDemonstrated measurable revenue generation at either a diagnostic, pharmaceutical or relevant biotechnology companyLives our values of Quality, Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork and InnovationTravel: Greater than 50% in assigned territory
