Position Summary:
Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for providing financial and administrative duties to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operation.
Primary Duties:
Processes and analyzes accounts receivable transactionsVerifies and records payments made to the company and reconciles balances and maintains records.Sets up and maintains customer accounts in the accounting systems.Ensures transactions are timely and accurate, and that remittances are accurately coded and allocated.Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger or bank accounts on a regular basis, monitors cash flow.Responds to inquiries from customers and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies.Assists in year-end or monthly/quarterly accounting procedures. Performs the tasks associated with setting up new customer accounts in P21, getting commercial credit reports, communicating with branch managers, sales reps, and other personnel as necessary.Determine customer credit worthiness to release sales orders.Send invoices and statements to customers as needed.Maintain good working relationships with customers, management, and other team members.Provide superior customer service and support company goals.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Basic Requirements:
At least 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable collection.Familiarity with different accounting systems, specifically Epicor Prophet 21 or equivalent.Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.Intermediate computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner who can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, the employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is generally completed in an office environment. Frequent sitting, computer work and phone use are required, with occasional walking, standing, bending and lifting up to 20 pounds. Salary:
$28-$31/hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
