As a key member of Finance organization, the Gogo Accounting Supervisor, is a high-energy, detail-oriented, dynamic person with a desire to add value to Gogo. This role will perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards (GAAP) and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) to control the organization's financial resources and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, supervisory experience, reviewing journal entries, and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. The Accounting Supervisor will work on a wide range of accounting projects and ensure that accurate, timely, and transparent accounting and reporting is delivered on a consistent basis.

How will you make a difference?
Coordinate your teams' work activities with Sr. Accounting Manager, and set priorities for the team to ensure task completionSupervise, develop, and support team objectives and key results and ensuring that all deadlines are appropriately managedPrepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entriesKey member of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activitiesUse judgement to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems with guidance from Sr. Accounting ManagerDevelop and implement business process improvement initiatives around month-end close, accounting processes and procedures, and financial analysisParticipate in internal and external audits by reviewing audit schedules, ensuring appropriate documentation, and providing evidence of controls performedPartner with key departments within the Company to understand internal processes and ensure completeness and accuracy within the financial statements
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant Accounting experienceBachelors degree in Accounting (preferred) or FinanceCPA Certificate/CPA candidate is a plus
Required Skills, Talents & Experience
ERP systems experience, Microsoft Navision a plusKnowledge of US GAAP and PCAOB standards, current accounting regulations and familiarity with internal controlsStrong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills requiredEffective problem solving; methodical, detail-oriented and analytical approach to issue resolutionSolid attention to details with analytical, organizational and research abilitiesExperience in evaluating and streamlining processes and systems, developing and implementing policies and procedures to achieve operational efficiencies

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesOrganized and able to work independently and with a team, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal and verbal/written communication and messaging skillsBe comfortable using computers and software including, but not limited to, accounting and management information systems, spreadsheets and databasesPositive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the Accounting team
Additional Information
Base Pay:
Based on experience and responsibilities.
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
