Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee accounting department processes and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role will manage the accounting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close and, must be able to collaborate effectively with auditors and internal departments. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for forecasting, developing annual budgets, and providing accurate financial insights and analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep accounting knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for both the corporate office and plant locations. Prepare and review financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow recordsAnalyze financial data to provide insights on performance and cost-saving opportunitiesDevelop and manage annual budgets and financial forecastsMonitor budget variances and report on financial performanceEstablish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulationsCoordinate and support internal and external financial reviews and audits. Act as one of the key contacts for external auditors.Provide financial insights to support management decision-makingIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance department efficiency and accuracy.Lead and participate in various accounting projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA preferred5+ years of experience in accountingStrong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS and financial reporting standardsProficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skillsKnowledge of cost accounting principles for manufacturing environmentsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with ERP systems, preferably JDEStrong leadership and communication skillsPay Range $100,000 to $110,000#INDONT
