Position Summary:

Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC is looking for a Junior Accountant to support our NETL contract who would like to grow their career into greater responsibility.

General Job Duties:

Preference will be given to those with experience working for other government contracting companies, particularly service-oriented businesses, but we will consider other relevant experience as well.
The position will report to and work closely with the Business Manager and Senior Accountant Will perform daily accounting tasks to include accounts payable, invoicing, journal entries, payroll and assist with project and vendor set up in Deltek CostPointMonitor accounts payable email and correspond with vendorsProcess weekly reporting related to accounts payable Assist with budgeting and forecasting activitiesSupport detailed financial analysis to support decision-makingManage the collection and tracking of outstanding invoicesProvide support during financial audits and tax preparation
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance with 3-5 years of government contract accounting experienceA basic understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) contract accounting Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint and be able to learn other systems quicklyExperience preparing FFP, T&M and CPFF invoicesAdvanced Excel SkillsExcellent oral and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter and be able to effectively manage accounting processes and procedures. Physical Requirements:
