Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial reporting. This position is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and support the monthly and annual close processes. In addition, the Senior Accountant supports the design and maintenance of internal controls, contributes to process improvements, and assists with audit readiness. As a key member of the Finance team, the Senior Accountant reports directly to the Corporate Controller and serves as a resource and mentor to junior accounting staff.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferredMinimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or auditSolid understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworksExperience with ERP systems and Blackline (or similar account reconciliation tools)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis toolsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
Responsibilities:
Lead the monthly general ledger close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations using BlacklineSupport the annual audit by preparing accurate and timely deliverables, ensuring compliance with all audit requirementsMaintain and enhance internal control documentation and assist with testing to ensure operational effectivenessMonitor and validate the accuracy of balance sheet accounts and investigate variances and discrepanciesCollaborate cross-functionally to improve accounting processes and ensure proper documentationAnalyze and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure consistency with parent and affiliated entitiesPrepare financial reports and analyses for senior management, providing insights to support decision-makingPresent recommendations for process enhancements and control improvementsProvide guidance and review the work of junior accounting staff as assignedLead or support special projects and initiatives as directed by Finance leadership
