Responsibilities
Complete monthly close on a timely and accurate basisProvide analytical and accounting support to month-end closing process and ensure ongoing integrity of balance sheet and income statement accountsPrepare various monthly deferred revenue and cost schedulesAnalyze AP invoices for accrued or prepaid expenses and prepare journal entries Complete required analyses for intercompany transactions, prepare reconciliations and journal entriesPrepare journal entries related to rebates from our BrandsUpdate amortization schedules and prepare the monthly journal entriesRecord monthly revenue elimination entriesPerform monthly account reconciliations for various other balance sheet accounts. Balance to the general ledger, research and resolve all variances and record the recons in BlacklineAssist with the preparation of the month-end reporting packet to the corporate accounting team which includes explanations of flux for month over month, quarter over quarter, year over year variancesAssist in the coordination of audits and quarterly review activities of external auditors, providing requested schedules and documentation to audit teamSupport company compliance with internal control processes and documentation requirementsProvide financial and analytical support to a cross functional operations team for tactical and strategic business decisionsAssist in periodic reporting and analysis of performance metrics relative to plan for communication within the companyResearch and propose company positions on complex accounting issuesEvaluate and propose new processes to improve overall efficienciesAssist management on special assignments and monthly reporting as needed
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting3 - 5 years of professional experience requiredHave an extensive knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with Oracle and NetSuite a plusFamiliarity with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and other internal control guidance and regulations, such as SAS70 Outstanding verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to execute and follow-through to completion and document resultsExcellent analytical and reconciliation skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power BI, Power Point and Advance Excel knowledge including experience with advanced functions and pivot tablesAbility to multi-task and perform well under pressure in a high-volume and changing environment.Ability to work well through ambiguity and complexityAbility to design processes and workflowsComfortable working both as an individual and on a team with the ability to maintain a positive attitude in an extremely fast-paced environmentHigh energy self-starter with the ability to take initiative with minimal guidance
