Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing accounts payable duties including ensuring accuracy and efficiency while processing and monitoring incoming payments, preparing invoices/credit memos, customer information monitoring, collections, and other administrative duties.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare invoices daily for multiple branches within the company.Review returns for determination of credit and issue credit memos where applicable.Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions, both lock box and local depositsProcess all new credit applications, including review of credit worthiness.Set up all new Customer account records and maintain existing account records.Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and verifying information from sales, customer service and Customers.Facilitate payment of open receivables by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsResolves collections by examining customer payment history, contact Customers as needed on an individual account basis.Maintain multiple spreadsheets, including cash flow, revenue and estimates.Review of monthly invoices to ensure sales commissions are accurate.Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.Other duties as assigned.
Qualication:
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and professional credit and collections practices
• Data entry skills including 10-key
• Hands-on experience in accounting software (preferably QuickBooks)
• High proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong Customer Service orientation and negotiation skills
• High Degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven working experience in accounts payable, credit and collections and general accounting work (2-3 years' experience required)
