ProSource360 Consulting Services, Inc., is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support our corporate headquarters in Washington D.C. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, work on competing priorities and support the financial records for the company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting. The Junior Staff Accountant is an entry-level accounting position responsible for performing basic accounting tasks like data entry, maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting senior accountants with month-end and year-end closing processes, all while adhering to company policies and accounting standards under close supervision. This role reports directly to the controller.
Responsibilities
Play a key role in accounting operations, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.Analyze data, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutions.Work ensuring accurate data entry and analysis that integrates seamlessly with their accounting platform.Act as a backup for various accounting functions, offering valuable cross-training opportunities.Requirements:
Required
1-2 years of experience in accounting.Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Proficiency in Excel. Experience with pivot tables and/or VLOOKUP functions is a bonusAbility to work independently and manage your time effectively.Adaptability to new systems.Experience with the Unanet accounting system or similar systemUS Citizen
