This position is eligible for full-time telework under California Government Code Section 14200.
Under general direction, the Staff Services Manager II, in the Housing Proactive Preservation Unit serves as the Division's technical expert in data and research, land use, and/or housing policy which may include implementing and enforcing state housing laws including, but not limited to, the Surplus Land Act, Accessory Dwelling Unit Laws, State Preservation Noticing Law, and others. Responsibilities include but are not limited to implementing and monitoring complex and major statewide Division programs and projects, while engaging internal and external government and community partners. Manages a small to medium size team based upon expertise and assignment.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)

If you have direct experience with Housing Element Law, Preservation Noticing Law, or other state laws that HCD enforces, please include it in your response. Describe your experience supervising the work of others on a team, and please include an example of a project you led or managed. Considering this duty statement, please describe any special or unique qualifications or attributes you have that would contribute to your ability to serve successfully in this position.
