We are looking for a Payroll & Accounting Administrator to join our team.

Position

The Payroll & Accounting Administrator (PAA) administers the activities relating to payroll, benefits and managing the Human Resource System (HRS). The individual will be the subject matter expert on payroll, benefits, general accounting and HR.

The PAA will function as the primary administrator for benefits, compensation, office compliance, and employee recruitment. In addition, they will assist the Director of Human Resources in developing and implementing policies and procedures. The PAA should be knowledgeable of basic human resources, payroll/accounting practices, benefits administration, and compliance.

The Payroll & Accounting Administrator will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead processing of payroll bi-weekly
  • Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees
  • Create/reconcile 401k, benefits, & payroll journal entries
  • Assist with recruiting process
  • Onboard new hires (within HRS)
  • Assist with compliance training and staff development
  • General administrative support for HR
  • Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations
  • Maintains complete electronic employee personnel files, records and other documentation for employees
  • Assist with annual open enrollment period. This includes preparation (or revision) and distribution of materials, planning meetings to communicate changes to employees, and processing changes within deadlines
  • Addresses benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions
  • Maintains contact with employees and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees
  • Processes monthly billings from providers
  • Administers online COBRA enrollments/changes and responds to and manages unemployment claims and workers compensation cases

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree required.

Experience
Approximately 3-5 years' experience administering payroll, HRS and general accounting experience required.

Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including payroll, benefits, time & attendance and human resource self-service systems. Experience with ADP preferred.

Terrific Total Compensation Package:

  • Salary range $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 and is commensurate with experience and budget availability.
