Fiscal/Accounting Assistant (527690)
Under direct supervision of the Manager, Fiscal Operations or designee, the incumbent is responsible for the entry and reconciliation of department fiscal data for financial reporting and budget management purposes.
- Assist in the reconciliation of the department operating funds, by performing data entry, basic reconciliation, and simple analysis using a variety of tools and reports
- Process department expenditure transactions (e.g., invoices, journal entries, direct payments, etc.) using tracking sheets, database & spreadsheet tools
- Assist in preparation of department fiscal status reports
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in invoice and fiscal transaction processing
- Experience in higher education/fund accounting fundamentals

Education and Experience
- Equivalent to three years of administrative support experience required.
- One year experience in basic fiscal related tasks preferred.
Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).
Licenses / Certificates
A valid CA driver's license preferred.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,338 - $4,913 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
