Airport Accountant Senior

General Description and Classification
The Department is seeking a Senior level individual contributor for the Accountant Senior - Capital Assets position who will be responsible for recording construction-in- progress (CIP) activity timely and accurately in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and the Government Finance Officers Association.
Supervision Received
Works under very general supervision. Depending on organization structure, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related area (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis). Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related area.
Preferred Skills
- Education & Experience bachelor's degree in accounting (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis) with 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who is detailed oriented, organized, a problem solver, a team player, and willing to collaborate with others.
- Advance Excel Skills
