- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in a field related to Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Up to four (4) years of related experience may be substituted for education.

Accounting Associate III
- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in a field related to Finance, Accounting, or Economics plus two years of related experience.
- Any combination of related experience and/or education may be substituted.

The Development Services Department ( DSD ) assists homeowners, business owners, and contractors when they build, demolish, remodel or perform any type of construction to ensure compliance with applicable city and building codes.
DSD is seeking an Accounting Associate III position to be responsible for the processing, payment, organization, and tracking of ALL invoices & payment requests for DSD , including petty cash disbursements, INs, GAX , and Procard transactions( WORKS ) & review/approval of transaction. In addition, the position will handle all travel requests and process travel claims & payments ( TPP , TPR , TA, etc.) in accordance with the COA policy. The position will also be responsible for purchase-related activities such as DO creation, as well as requesting contracts such as RQS / RQM in AIM's. The Accounting Associate III position will serve under the direction of the Accounting Manager I in the Financial Services Division.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include TEAMS , Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Austin Integrated Management Systems ( AIMS ) or similar financial ERP systems.
- Accounts payable experience including processing of All invoice & payment requests such as INs, GAXs, procards, petty cash disbursement, etc.
- Experience processing travel requests, claims, advances, and reimbursements ( TPP , TPR , TAs, etc.), including providing instructions & training related to travel.
- Experience processing WORKS transactions (procard) for Bank of America or working with other similar software used to manage credit card transactions.
- Development & processing of DO's (Delivery Orders), CT's (Contracts), RQS (Request for services), and other related documents to encumber funds and/or initiate purchasing contracts.
