The Department of Accounting at California State University San Marcos seeks a Visiting Faculty who has the ability and desire to teach Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting and/or Auditing.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, all College of Business Administration classes at CSUSM will be conducted remotely until further notice. Applicants must have the ability to perform all duties and responsibilities for this role remotely using virtual technology.

This Visiting Faculty position is full time and will end at the conclusion of the semester or academic year term. Individuals appointed as Visiting Faculty are not eligible for subsequent Visiting Faculty Appointments; however, former Visiting Faculty can apply for other faculty positions (if available).

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a doctorate in Accounting or related field with specialization in Accounting, from
an AACSB accredited university.
Have a minimum of five-years' experience teaching accounting classes at a four-year university and be
committed to rigor in teaching and research.
Candidates must meet the AACSB classification of Scholarly Academic.
Candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence and a record of published research commensurate
with years of experience.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective teaching of classes virtually.
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental

Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
