Job Description and Duties

The Accountant Trainee performs professional accounting duties as a learner at the entry level of the Accounting Officer series. Duties include posting, reviewing and reconciling cash collections received by the Department; reviewing operations; making contact with Departmental resources and providing assistance to departmental field staff and answering general public inquiries concerning cashiering deposit issues; and recognizing, ensuring that audit, internal control and cash deposit procedures are being followed.

Working Conditions

Limited telework opportunity. Telework schedules are temporary, and based on current conditions and will be re-evaluated as conditions change. The Telework schedule will be determined after training is completed.

Have experience in cashiering, banking, and accounting.
